The book "Making a Film" by the famous Italian film director Federico Fellini is an autobiographical account of his childhood and adolescence in the coastal town of Rimini, and his time spent as a cartoonist, journalist and screenwriter in Rome, his career-defining meeting with film director Roberto Rossellini, his collaboration with his wife, actress Giulietta Mazin, and the films he made, from his first steps into cinema to his most award-winning works.
In the book, the director explains the mysterious ways in which ideas for films emerge and how historical events, political ideologies and philosophical ideas have influenced the making of his films.
